Terms of Service
Last updated September 5, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service govern use of the SproutKids website and mobile app (the "Service"), operated for the parent or guardian who creates the account ("you"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. Who can hold an account
A SproutKids account must be created and managed by an adult parent or legal guardian. Child profiles are added by the parent under their own account and are not separate, independently-registered users. You're responsible for keeping your account password and Parent PIN confidential.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Some content and features require a paid Sprout Premium plan. Where a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription only as clearly stated at signup. You can view your plan status and cancel at any time from Subscription in the Parent Portal — cancelling stops future renewal but does not retroactively refund time already used, except where required by law.
4. Acceptable use
- Use the Service only for its intended purpose: a family's own children learning and playing.
- Don't attempt to bypass parental controls, screen-time limits, or the Parent PIN on an account that isn't yours.
- Don't attempt to access, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service beyond normal use.
- Don't upload or submit anything abusive, unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights through the Contact or Feedback forms.
5. Content and intellectual property
All videos, stories, quizzes, illustrations, badges and the SproutKids name and logo belong to SproutKids or its licensors. A subscription grants your family a personal, non-transferable right to use the Service — it doesn't transfer ownership of any content to you.
6. Referrals and rewards
Coins, XP, badges, streaks and referral rewards earned in the Service have no cash value, can't be transferred outside your account, and may be adjusted if we find evidence of abuse (e.g. fraudulent referral activity).
7. Account suspension
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, is used fraudulently, or where required by law, and will make reasonable efforts to notify the parent on file before doing so except where immediate action is necessary for safety or security.
8. Service availability
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but don't guarantee uninterrupted access — content and features may change, and the Service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. We'll update the date at the top of this page, and for material changes affecting your subscription, we'll notify you by email.
10. Contact us
